Pedialyte Popsicles

Well, we survived our 1st night with a vomiting toddler and an infant going through a growth spurt who now thinks it's o.k. to wake up at 3:45am...and stay awake. After the 1st several "rounds" of severe vomiting yesterday, Miss. Lili spent the rest of the night and early morning today dry heeving. The poor kid was dying of thirst and crying nonstop for her "cuppy", but every time we attempted to give her a little water, it immediately shot back out. Finally around 10am I gave her some Gatorade G2 (tastes better than Pedialyte, but lower in sugar than regular Gatorade) and she actually kept it down. She had some periodically throughout the day and eventually graduated to a homemade Pedialyte popsicle and a couple of Saltines late this afternoon. Unfortunately it all went downhill as we were leaving the house to go get Will from daycare. At that point she threw up orange crud all over both of us. For the most part our day went o.k. since a majority of the puking had subsided, but the little munchkin was SO weak and lethargic. She slept most of the day and barely made a peep. I just don't think she had the energy. Tomorrow Drew will be staying home with her and hopefully he can pump her full of more fluids to get her on the road to recovery. I miss my funny little girl!
