Day 2 in Jamaica began with us racing down to the excursions desk to book some adventures for the week. There were so many fun things to do...but the lady was a real you-know-what...which made making our selections a little more difficult. An hour later we found ourselves waiting with the boys to be picked up for our first tour...the tranopy! This was going to involve a skyride (similar to a ski-lift), bobsledding and ziplining!
When we got to Mystic Mountain, the first thing we did was hop on the skyride. This took us on a 15 minute ride to the top of the mountain.
It was such a peaceful ride and there were so many beautiful sights to see!
The view of the ocean water near the coast showed us just how clear and BLUE it was.
Poor Drew really was not thrilled about this excursion at all. He HATES heights, but we all told him that his fears weren't going to get him out of this one! I swear he BARELY moved when we got on the skyride. I told him to look at me so I could get a quick pic of him and he slllooowwwwlllyyy moved his head to the left just a couple of inches. When I held the camera up, he freaked a bit and told me not to move because it was making the thing shake...poor guy. At least we got a nice pic of him!
When we reached the top, I think Drew needed this drink...
...and Lisa and I got a nice pic near all of the pretty plants and trees and flowers...
We got some great pics of the coast from one of the lookouts. It's always amazing to see the size of cruise ships compared to their surroundings...
The Jamaican flag was flying high...
Unfortunately our fun bobsledding and ziplining through the Jamaican jungle could not be captured on film because we were too busy hanging on! Of course there were cameras strategically placed throughout the area by the people running the excursion, so we did purchase a couple of those, however they weren't pretty.......and I'm not sure I will be scanning them in anytime soon... Instead we got a picture of this super cool tree!
We are sitting on one of its roots! How cool is that?!?
We arrived back at the hotel midafternoon to find this lovely towel elephant on our bed. This was the best one of the week!
We had a few hours to kill in the afternoon, so we took giant tricycles out on the water for a bit. They 'look' so much easier to ride than they actually are! Owie!
After that, we hit the swim-up bar! The bartender was pretty cool and made us these awesome 'Bob Marley' shots!

For dinner that night we ate at Gordon's on the Pier. The weather was perfect and the food was yummy!
Although it was one of the few restaurants that had a dress code...and was run by the butler service there at the hotel...Drew still managed to bring us back to reality.
At the end of the night we found ourselves back in our jeans and tshirts...playing Skip-Bo...just like old times!
