Vaca Pics - Part 3: Funnies

Ummmm....hello people...he's not on solids yet!! Apparently gnawing on a corn cob is still o.k....
One morning I was in the kitchen with Will and Steph and Drew's Mom walked in. She had been playing with Hannah and Lili downstairs. She looks at me and says, "The girls escaped and are running towards the road!" I start to throw Will at her so I can run to get them and she laughs...haha, just kidding! We all head downstairs to continue providing Hannah-Lili supervision, however there is no Hannah and there is no Lili........and the back door is open just a crack. Looking out the window, we discover them running towards the dirt road! Needless to say, I had to capture the moment as Grandma chased them down in her robe. Silly Grandma! Don't you know you can't leave 2 toddlers alone for even a second? =-)
Steph and I found a couple of rubber chicken toys at the local country store when we went searching for baby wipes one afternoon. When you squeezed them, a bulging "egg" popped out of their butts. You know...the chicken and the egg thing? They looked exactly like eggs too...with the white and the yolk inside. That same night everyone had gathered in one of the living rooms and Hannah and Lili were having the best time with those darn chickens. Suddenly Lili decided that as she was squeezing her chicken, she should try to bite the egg. Drew saw this and tried to stop her. He took the chicken from her and squeezed it again...only to be squirted in the face by whatever liquid substance was inside the egg. Apparently Lili had pierced the sac with one of her teeth. At that point, it was either throw the chicken away (which was not an option since Lili had become quite attached to it), or remove the egg. Drew gutted her chicken, which then became a hand puppet...a foot cover...etc. Hannah realized the potential for her chicken if it was gutted too, so Drew was begged to perform surgery again. Here is Hannah with her rubber chicken puppet...

...and Lili trying to bite the head off of hers. I guess since there was no more egg, the head was the next best option?

Lili and Matthew had a great time playing in the kitchen cupboards...however Matthew wanted to shut the doors...and Lili's poor little hand kept getting in the way. Over and over and over again her fingers got pinched.
Lili seems to think there will always be someone there to catch her...
Showing Grandpa her Tinkerbell sockhands and her "BEEBO!".
Poor Matthew...no one ever wanted to sit near him during meals. This kid could eat like no other one-year-old I've seen! .......but if he didn't like something.......watch out! It all got tossed! If you were within 3 feet of him, you were likely to get pegged by some chicken chunks or a handful of rice...
Anytime Will was on the floor, Matthew would run and tackle him. He was on him like flies on you-know-what and next thing you know...they were rolling all over the place. I finally told Will not to take his sh** and to fight back! That's when he started poking him in the eye...
...and grabbing him by his shirt...
...of course Matthew did his fair share of damage too! Boys will be boys!
Lili was all about "Treats! Treats!" while we were there. I'm guessing this is partly due to the fact that she doesn't get things like ice cream and cookies when she's at home. We attempted to regulate her "treat" consumption while we were at the cabin too, but if we only gave her a little bit, she would run around and beg everyone else for theirs. In fact, she would attempt to "catch" the spoonful of whatever yummy goodness was available in her mouth before the other person could get it into theirs! C'mon Grammy......gimme that ice cream!
Nummies Auntie Steph! Nummies! She was almost acting possessed.......
