There were 6 clues in all, which lead them all over the house. With each clue was a small treat to keep them going and encourage them to find the next clue!
The very last clue was to 'Look in the tunnel!' in their playroom...and that is where they found their baskets! They both crawled in to get their 'grand' prizes...lots of elephants, Snow White and a few piece of chocolate.
After breakfast we did an egg hunt in the basement. I would have loved to do it outside, but the grass was still so wet from all of the snow over the past few months, it would have been a disaster. So, the Easter Bunny pooped out all of his eggs in the basement! The kids had a blast running around collecting them!
I think Will's favorite part was opening the eggs to find jelly beans. He's not a big sweet eater, so we were SHOCKED when he tried one. He then yelled, 'I like it Mommy!'...and proceeded to stuff his jelly beans with more and more jelly beans...
He even threw a fit when we finally had to take them from him. We 'thought' having the kids put the coins they received in their piggy banks would distract him, but that let to other types of meltdowns. The ones involving who had 'more monies' and 'more million dollars'. We tried to assure them that they were each getting an equal amount, but they were not convinced.
Luckily Grandma called while we were attempting to calm everyone down and a quick conference call made the kids very happy. As you can see, Will even tried to show Grandma his new baby elephant!
