My New Nephew!

Last weekend my family got a really fun surprise...a new son/nephew/grandchild!  Samuel (a.k.a. Sammy) Richard Giles was born on April 3rd, right before midnight.  He weighed in at 5lbs 14oz, which was pretty darn good for being born at 34 weeks!  His Mama had been on hospital bedrest for almost 2 weeks and was going to remain on bedrest until his birth, so in a way...it's probably good that he popped out a little early.  Not sure what is up with us Giles' and spouses of Giles' having so much trouble keeping our babies bakin'!  We have all been very lucky though and have had strong, healthy babies, despite their lack of patience!

The best part about Sammy's arrival though, is that Aaron and Vera have been through SO much and have wanted this baby for SO long.  One thing is for sure...this baby is and will always be LOVED!

Valerie was only 5 pound 10 oz at 37 weeks, so that's great to be bigger than that 3 weeks early! Valerie is proving to be healthier than the other babies born the same week as her, so far... you never know!
