After checking out the stockings, we headed downstairs to see what else Santa might have left behind. Lili was SO excited and couldn't wait to start opening up her gifts. Will, on the other hand, stood there staring at the pile...almost questioning whether he really had to participate in opening ALL of those gifts. He just wasn't that interested in the process of unwrapping. I don't know where this kid came from, but we are adding it to our running list of 'Weird Will Things'...along with 'doesn't like chocolate' and 'doesn't like ice cream'.
As soon as Will turned around and caught sight of the teepees, he was a goner. He immediately ran for the pink one (of course) and then spent most of his time hiding out while everyone else opened presents.
Lili was a champion gift opener and loved every minute of it!
Occasionally Will would come out of hiding to unwrap a gift here or there, but it took some coaxing. The best part was when we told him he needed to come and open his presents because Lili was starting to do it for him. I thought he would come running...but instead he shouted, 'THANK YOU LILI!'. He truly could have cared less about the gazillion gifts under the tree with his name on them...
Lili's 'big' gift from Santa this year was the Little Pet Shop treehouse...
Will's 'big' gift from Santa was the Rescue Bots firestation. While he might look engaged here, trust me when I say he was off and running again about 30 seconds after this pic was snapped.
So many awesome gifts from family and friends were unwrapped...including a Barbie laptop...
...a Lalaloopsy doll...
...hooded towels...
...stuffies...
...tutus...
...books...
...art stuff...
...elephants...
The list goes on and on! We ALL got spoiled this year and had SO much fun with it!
One of the best gifts that Drew and I received was this calendar from Lili. The whole thing was laminated and had this adorable picture of her on the front. Inside, each month displayed a piece of her artwork...and the artwork represented something going on that month, like a holiday, etc. Not only was the gift useful, but I LOVED that it was something she actually made! I can't imagine how long it took for the teachers to coordinate everything that needed to go into making these for all of the parents!
X-Mas morning with the kids was SO much fun and this year Drew's parents were here to celebrate with us too. We all loved having them here! It made X-Mas seem a little more X-Masy!
